ANWR – 10 Years Later
There are so many reasons Elizabeth Emken will be replacing incumbent Senator Feinstein, her wrong-headed association with environmentalists and her inability to comprehend the lack of science on so-called “Man Caused Global warming are but two.

It’s no secret that Dianne Feinstein is beholden to the Green Movement
. When it comes to California voters, she has put endangered species first. Her current website show she is a member of Al Gore’s evangelical church of global warming.
From here website, Feinstein States, on Global Warming: A Time to Act
An international consensus has been forged: Global warming is real. It is already happening. And greenhouse gas emissions produced by human activity, such as the burning of fossil fuels, tropical deforestation, and agriculture, are the leading cause of that warming.
Now you propose five new bills, all of which promote long since debunked and failed ideas.
My personal favorites are:
- The second bill will be a mandatory cap-and-trade program for industrial and corporate polluters, modeled after the electricity sector program. (in progress)
Third, a bill to raise the average fuel economy of all cars and light trucks from 25 miles per gallon to 35 miles per gallon over 10 years. This would cut emissions by 18 percent by 2025. (S.357)
Ten years ago today, with gas prices at $1.45 per gallon, Senate Democrats blocked legislation to allow more domestic energy production in Alaska.
Too Long Too Wrong to represent CA in the U.S. Senate
Yes Mrs. Feinstein has failed to keep up with current technology yet continue to favor bogus program like those listed from her election site above. It’s difficult to quantify the number of jobs lost, business closures, and, tax revenues that could have been generated for California, had been put out to pasture where she belongs.
California can no longer afford a Senator that is destroying the economic future of the Golden State. Senate Democrats argued against increasing energy production from the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) because it would take up to 10 years for the oil to reach the market:
And For 10 Years, Dianne Feinstein Has Kept Telling America, “Drilling Is Not The Answer”…
- 2005: “Drilling in ANWR is not the answer.” (“Statement by Senator Dianne Feinstein In Opposition to Arctic Drilling and Other Provisions Added to Defense Bill,” The Democrat Daily, 12/21/05)
- 2006: “We cannot drill our way out of this problem.” (“Feinstein Joins 14 Senate Colleagues Urge Rejection of Arctic Drilling Measure,” Official Statement, 3/9/06)
- 2008: “We cannot drill our way out of these record energy prices.” (“Senator Feinstein Votes on Two Key Energy Measures,” Official Statement, 5/12/08)
If Democrats with the same agenda as Feinstein hadn’t blocked production in ANWR ten years ago, up to an additional 1.5 million barrels per day of domestic oil would be available to help lower the cost of gasoline today.
Ten years later, ANWR remains off-limits, the U.S. still imports half of its oil, gasoline has skyrocketed to nearly $4 per gallon, and Democrats are still blocking energy production.
You have just been given a short course in “taxation without representation”
Elizabeth Emken fresh new ideas, pro drilling, pro jobs, It is time for California voters to send a winner the U.S. Senate. As they show up at the gas pump, the grocery store, or anywhere they are required to spend their money, let’s not forget, “politics are local,” It’s difficult to get more local between a voter and their wallets. That is why CA voters will not vote for the failed economic and environmental polices of the 78 year-old incumbent.
