Let’s look at an opportunity for California’s U.S. Senate candidates to have an open public discussion on the issues affecting our state and our nation:
Elizabeth Emken who has challenged the 79 year-old senator to a series of debates wants the voters to know.
Is it not enough that the progressives like Feinstein have also stricken GOD from their platform?
Obama Attacked Over Party Platform on Jerusalem
According to the Wall Street Journal, the language in the section of the Democratic Party platform on Israel has changed from 2008 until now, most notably as it relates to Jersulem as the capital of the Jewish State:
“President Obama and the Democratic Party maintain an unshakable commitment to Israel’s security,” begins the 70-page platform in a section titled “The Middle East.” The three-paragraph section details the Obama administration’s support for Israel, including boosting security assistance, but says nothing about Jerusalem.
For years, both parties’ official platforms have mentioned that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel as part of an effort to show unflagging support to the country (and to garner support with Jewish voters).
In 2008, the Democratic Party’s platform said “Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.”
The Democrats have made a conscious decision to refuse all recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and it shows a continued and deliberate erosion of the relationship between the White House and one of America’s most important allies, “Dianne Feinstein must not have a problem with this ill-advised change of status because her silence speaks volumes.
She certainly won’t debate the issue, which means she’s just as willing to turn her back on California voters as she is to turn her back on our friends in Israel.“
