Emken Wins Endorsement from U.S. Congressman Buck McKeon Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee
Powerful Armed Services Committee Chairman Joins McCarthy, Campbell, Lungren on Emken Team
(ORANGE COUNTY, CA) – Republican U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Emken, an accomplished businesswoman specializing in efficiency and cost-cutting, and nationally recognized advocate for autism research and treatment, today announced that U.S. Congressman Howard “Buck” McKeon has officially endorsed her campaign for U.S. Senate.
Regional Command Southwest commander, Maj. Gen. Richard P. Mills, speaks with Minnesota Congressman John Kline aboard Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Feb. 6. Kline joined California Congressman Buck McKeon, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and Texas Congressman Silvestre Reyes for a visit to Afghanistan. The delegates met with International Security Assistance Force deputy commander U.S. Army Lt. Gen. David Rodriguez, and Mills to discuss current operations in Helmand province.
Rep. McKeon adds his support to other influential members of California’s Republican congressional delegation, including House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, John Campbell and Dan Lungren, who are backing Emken in her bid to unseat Dianne Feinstein this November.
Selected by his peers to serve as Chairman of the powerful House Armed Services Committee, McKeon is a champion of a strong national defense, easing the nation’s national debt, and returning fiscal discipline to the Department of Defense. He also is a member of the Republican Study Committee, an influential group of more than 100 conservative Republicans that advances a conservative social and economic agenda in the House.
“Elizabeth Emken has a proven record of working tirelessly on behalf of military families and that goes a long way with me,” said McKeon. “Her leadership and commitment to accountability are qualities we need in Washington to help put our nation back on track and I proudly endorse Elizabeth for the U.S. Senate.” ( More Below)
