Since just before the last California presidential primary, the proportion of voters registered as Republicans has fallen from 33.5 percent to 30.4 percent, according to new figures from the California Secretary of State.
Democrats halted a steady, years-long decline with a one percentage-point bump in registration since the last primary, largely due to leftover gains from Obama’s last campaign, the new figures show. About 43.6 percent of the state’s voters are registered Democrat.
The number of decline-to-state voters continues to grow, but more slowly than it did a decade ago. More than one in five of the state’s voters aren’t registered with a party.
Note in 2012, the year of the Republican sweep 30% R voters combined over 20% declining to state, there are a potential 50% of the voters to the D 43%. Historically in troubled economic times, the undecided voter does not vote for the incumbent and cast their vote in favor of the challenger.

The comments following Mr. Reese’s article are worth the reader’s time to digest. They seem to be divided among those who clearly don’t understand the Golden States fiscal woes and those who understand and are ready for meaningful solutions.
In order to restore CA to it’s former position of the eighth largest economy in the entire world, the tax and spend policies of Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer must be rejected. Unfortunately Boxer doesn’t come up for election until 2016.
Diane Feinstein, 79-years old on June 22, has been “Too Wrong” for “Too Long”and is still a believer in the long since debunked CO2 caused climate change.
She was one of Obama’s chief lieutenants making sure that ObamaCare passed the senate even though the most “transparent administration” in U.S. History using bribes, exemptions, and arm twisting in their back room dealings to get this woefully flawed legislation to Obama’s desk for his signature.
Yes, Democrats far out number Republicans, but there is a caveat in this primary. Members of each party may vote for either party’s candidate. Democrats like most Republicans are good people, trying to make a decent living, make their house payments; set money aside so their children can have an education. They are far from clueless. They see that taxes have increased at the pump, food, clothing and virtually everything they purchase costs more, no matter what disingenuous numbers come from the White House.
Yes it will be the silent majority made of many Democrats who will be going to the polls to reject President Obama’s vision of socialism while telling Dianne Feinstein we are on to you and are sending you home with our vote.
The logical replacement is Elizabeth Emken, the choice of the California National Committee. (See Elizabeth on the Issues:)
Elizabeth graduated from UCLA in 1984 with degrees in Economics and Political Science. Her studies included course work at Cambridge University, where she focused on political and economic issues in China and the Middle East.
Before November 6th, however, please remember, the most important election is on June 5th. That is when Elizabeth will clean the playing field filled with 27 candidates in the California Primary. If you are not registered to vote, you may go directly here to do so. If you prefer to vote absentee by mail, please click here
Before becoming active with the autism issue as the co-chair of Autism Speaks, Elizabeth served in management, financial analysis, and corporate operations at IBM. As an efficiency and cost cutting expert, Elizabeth utilized activity-based cost analysis to identify administrative savings across IBM U.S. – helping streamline operations, eliminate waste, and save the company millions of dollars.
It’s Emken’s proven success in the private sector, in charity and as a mother that will allow her to hit the bricks running once she defeats Dianne Feinstein. Feinstein the multi-millionaire, is the quintessential public servant, thou frequently getting her wires crossed, she forgets this and thinks her constituents, the voters are beholden to her. That’s what happens when those in government lose touch with the realities of the real world, the world of those they represent are a far cry from the bubble in which they live.
Elizabeth is for creating a job and business friendly climate for California. She understands by lowering taxes CA can once again be a magnet drawing new companies and returning companies back to California all the while increasing the voters personal wealth and growing the tax base at the same time. One of her immediate plans is to work with other Republicans and Democrats to completely repeal and replace Obama Care. She knows a return to a vibrant economy at the state and national level will be impossible until ObamaCare has become a thing of the past.
No Mrs. Feinstein, we understand you have failed those your represent, many have lost their jobs and dignity, have had their home seized in foreclosure. They are the new poor, living on welfare, food stamps, and other government programs you have voted for that they now completely abhor. Yes, Democrats far out number Republicans in California. It will make little difference when you hear them roar on November 6th.
