It’s becoming increasing clear with Dianne Feinstein’s desperation that she would be well advised to limit her comments. The Supreme Court completely side-stepped the Commerce Clause declaring on Thursday, as Chief Justice Roberts drew a firm limit on the commerce power, writing that “If accepted as the basis of the individual insurance mandate, federal authority would be virtually unlimited.” “The Commerce Clause is not a general license to regulate an individual from cradle to grave, simply because he will predictably engage in particular. He chose to stand with the majority and call the so-called mandate a tax.
In doing so and siding with the administration, he now opens the door to use a tax on any behavior an administration chooses. That knock at your door you will soon be hearing is the IRS telling you that your Chevy Volt will be delivered today, and since it will be a gift it will be taxed as ordinary income.
A little tongue in cheek for the early celebrants of the day. Trust this ruling will be eviscerated by Congress with the work already underway.
Dianne Feinstein can call it what she likes, it is still an overreach of the federal government to force another tax upon We the People, and what may seem as a victory today will result in a blood bath at the polls in November. Please note video here.
Each time she opens her mouth she proves why she must be retired by Elizabeth Emken. Dianne Feinstein makes the absurd comment below that the “Individual Mandate” was upheld by the Supreme Court, when nothing could be further from the truth. Could it be any more clear that Dianne Feinstein is not destined, as a 79-year-old U.S. Senator to win a 5th term? Not to worry Dianne, the voters will be sending you home on November 6th.

Washington–Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) made the following statement today after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act:
“Yesterday was a historic day. The Supreme Court today upheld the health care reform law passed by Congress in 2010, meaning Californians can be confident that access to affordable health insurance is finally a reality.
“I believe the health care reform law, including the individual mandate and the insurance exchanges designed to create large purchasing pools to make coverage more affordable is critical to reducing the number of Americans who go without health insurance. The state exchanges will be up and running in 2014, and I am gratified they will have an opportunity to help Californians and drive down soaring health care costs. Please have a look at the Republican Health Care Proposal that Nancy Pelosi as speaker would not allow to be heard in Congress.
Were you sleeping? The individual mandate was found Unconstitutional and was struck down.
“Because of yesterday’s decision, California will receive an estimated $14.5 billion in federal funds designated to increase insurance coverage–including an estimated $5.5 billion annually to help low and middle-income residents purchase insurance in the exchanges and an estimated $9 billion a year to insure newly eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries. Help or force?
Doesn’t that make you just ecstatic? More federal money extorted from tax payers for a program they reject overwhelmingly by 2:1. Be clear Dianne you fool no one, this was all about a grab of an additional 17-18% of the GDP and your lust for power and control.
As the saying goes, “What comes around goes around,” and your partying is premature. Justice Roberts in following the Constitution, upholding that it is Congress’ right to tax, thew the boom a rang that will be the albatross around Obama and each Democrat running for Congress in November.
“Many positive benefits of the law have already gone into effect including provisions that allow children to stay on their parent’s health insurance plan until age 26, prohibit insurance companies from denying children health insurance based on a pre-existing condition and prohibit insurance companies from canceling coverage because of an illness such as breast cancer. Millions of Americans will continue to benefit from these insurance reforms.
Please watch this short video for the actual costs involved. Obama Care would be better called Obama Health Care Denial as rationing and it has already begun
Private insures including the largest in the U.S., United Health Care, Aetna Inc and Humana Inc. before the Supreme Court decision, had already agreed to keep these programs, in place as they realize their customers like them and they are doing so without force.
“I realize that passage of health care reform was extremely controversial. But we cannot forget that insuring fellow Americans and driving down the exploding cost of health care spending in this country is a national emergency. Even with this favorable decision from the court, our work reforming the insurance market and expanding access to health care continues.”
Controversial, ya think? Driving down the cost of healthcare with this soon to be decimated legislation is laughable.
Perhaps you would care to discuss a single program run by the federal government that is more efficient and less expensive? Understood…you are speechless because you can’t. That Mrs. Feinstein is why you will be defeated by Elizabeth Emken. Before putting together any socialist boondoggle she would look at the unintended consequences.
