To say that Senator Dianne Feinstein, is and has been bought and paid for is clearly and understatement. Politics can clearly a dirty game particularly when one such as the 79-year-old Feinstein, has made the decision not just sell her soul but dance with the devils who keep her in office.
Faced with the first true election of her career seeking a fifth term, it’s time for the senator to retire or be fired. Elizabeth Emken having the backing of the California Republican Party among many other groups is likely to send the senator from San Francisco home for Christmas.
The contrast between Elizabeth Emken and Dianne Feinstein could not be greater. With few exceptions if Dianne Feinstein the progressive is for it; she votes with with the progressive party 95% of the time. Elizabeth, the conservative is against it.

When we here the phrase, ” Government of the People by the People and for the People,” Dianne Feinstein’s name will not come to mind. She is an admitted progressive, anti 2nd Amendment zealot , and votes for virtually any and every tax increase possible.

WASHINGTON — Lobbyists, including many with stakes in her Senate Appropriations Committee work, play a key role in financing Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s re-election.
They rank as the second-leading “industry” giving to her 2012 campaign, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan Washington research group that tracks political dollars.
Feinstein, D-San Francisco, has so far received contributions from 218 lobbyists who are active on issues ranging from renewable fuels and advanced fighter jets to Internet gambling, the center’s data show.
Many of them rank among Washington’s most influential, and they lobby for corporations as varied as General Electric, General Motors, BP America, ExonMobil, Goldman Sachs, General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin. Many also represent interests of California cities and counties.
A rather strange list of bed fellows at first blush, GE? Of course solar power, windmill parts and curly CFE light bulbs and a health hazard that were forced upon us.
GM? What are they doing pay to buy influence when they still have not paid back their TARP Funds? The Oil companies, think they have a chance in the world of moving Dianne from buying oil for other countries including our enemies? Goldman Sachs, laughable, while General Dynamics and Lockheed who make much-needed war equipment must bed at her knee.
Others, however, say these contributions don’t change lawmakers’ positions. Instead, they are given as a sign of agreement with their positions.
Feinstein’s office said what lobbyists want is not what matters most to her.
“Senator Feinstein evaluates legislation and public policy based on what is best for California and the country,” said spokesman Brian Weiss.
This has rarely been true, Feinstein would have been an equal to Nancy Pelosi catering to the whims of the GLBT community, and the environmentalists who believe the delta smelt’s survival is more important than people’s jobs and their economic survival.
