This morning, U.S. Senate Candidate Elizabeth Emken was the guest this morning On San Diego Television Station KUSI Channel 9 news with Bridget Nasco and Tom Jorden.
When questioned by her hosts, Emken did an excellent job differentiating herself from the record of California’s senior senator, Dianne Feinstein. “I represent economic growth through lowering taxes, providing incentives for companies to stay in CA as well as return.” She then told Briget, Tom and the viewing audience that her background in management at IBM where she was responsible for cost analysis and budgets, along with her degrees in Economics and Political Science from UCLA and her time at Cambridge studying the economic problems facing China and countries in the Middle East will provide a pro growth agenda to Washington.
“My studies and experience have shown me taxes need not be raised, but putting in place a business friendly environment will act like a magnet to bring jobs and innovators back to the state, thus raising the number of new taxpayers.”
“Mrs. Feinstein views things differently and has her entire career. She believes that raising taxes is the way to go, in order to create a larger government.” “Most of your viewers Tom, are aware that those policies have been failures in our state and Washington.” When I’m elected I will work with new incoming Republicans in the Senate to begin reining in the excesses of both parties that have been going on since the late sixty’s.
“I will work to repeal Obama Care, in the event the Supreme Court hasn’t done so. On my first day as a senator I’ll vote for the Keystone pipeline and drilling for oil anywhere it is economically feasible in the state.” ” I will bring fresh new ideas to the state, like horizontal drilling as well as offshore drilling from our coast line, ideas the current senator has had the opportunity to do but has chosen to stay in her comfort zone of blocking legislation that will lead to economic growth.
