In any event, Dianne Feinstein is up for reelection this year in the Senate, despite her advanced age (she’ll be 79 next year) She believes she will win.
This may be one of the most important primary elections in California history. Diane Feinstein must be replaced. Elizabeth Emken is the only viable candidate with the seal of approval of the California Republican Party to wrest the seat away from Feinstein the four term tired incumbent.
California’s economy was consistently 8th in the entire world, in January of this year it slipped to 9th with Brazil slipping past the once Golden State. It would be easy to chalk this up to the current rough economic times, but think about it, most countries around the globe are facing a similar crisis.
Using her typical scare tactics Feinstein fails to mention the long successful history of off shore drilling. Deep water drilling has been going on since World War II. Inexplicably Obama and Feinstein shut down shallow water drilling off of California’s coasts, as well.
Of note, Feinstein is beholden to the environmental movement. She championed President Obama’s rash move that crushed the off shore drilling industry forcing them to move to the more friendly waters off Brazil. Note the irony our drilling rigs are offshore in Brazilian waters with our president saying he wants to be Brazil’s biggest customer.
It’s wrong headed thinking by this entire administration that make removing the “Too Wrong” for “Too Long” Feinstein from the U.S. Senate.
